Bumpy Start To July

So most of the roll got withdrawn. Then some really bad poker was played. There we're quite a few hands dealt @ $0.01/0.02 & 0.02/0.05. Some money was lost. There was an email. A good day happened @ $0.05/0.10. Some sweating got done. Some more goodness happened. Ended on a high. Not too bad.

That's the cliff notes to what turned out to be a good week.

Some Stats
After the bankroll manager suggested a drop to NL5 I lost a fiver...... within 100 hands. COCK. the next day after a bit of perseverance I managed $0.11 profit. GO ME. The next couple of days saw me mix it up playing NL5 and then NL10 deep stacked to the tune of a $5.00 loss. COCKASS. Now the roll is down to $56 and in the back of my mind theres a little voice telling me over and over that I'm not gonna have enough cash to play the summer holidays. That would be a poker disaster as I can't see me being able to deposit during the break. In the mail on Sunday (not the paper but gmail) morning was an email from Meteoric claiming the fish were swimming @ NL10. So I popped over for a couple of hours and managed a very healthy $18 or so.

Speaking of meteoric I saw him really playing well on three tables of NL10 after reading the email and was really pleased when he popped online later in the day and suggested a bit of a "Sweat" session. I know, sounds a bit like the poker version of "cottaging". Nevermind tho, in for a penny in for a pound. We hooked up via teamviewer and skype. I was quite impressed as I've got skype on my mobile via the 3 network and have barely used it. It was a really good session. we played for about 2 hours and I think he made about $10. Even after calling a shove just for a laugh and losing. I really enjoyed talking aloud and discussing the hands as he played. Even made him put a couple downs. However, compared to the amount he did the exact opposite to what I would have done and won was shocking!!!!. He has a much more enlightened view to post flop play as opposed to my somewhat cumbersome and fumbling, "I'll beat you with ignorance" moves. Dreading him watch me play tho. Good fun and I would recommend playing like this to improve anyones game. And improve it did as I rounded with day off with another $5 or so.

note: oh and for the record, in that session he musta had the best run of cards i have ever seen. :-)

So that's it really. Been in a meeting all day so I'm gonna walk the dog have some dinner and play a few hands later.

roll: $77.42
Goals: be enlightened

Previous goal status: stars changed the bonus so I cant do jack with the 1k points even though I've managed 404.9. Shame as I won't be able to keep silver status this month either.
